Alexandra & District Open Gardens
Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th October 2020 * 10am - 4pm * Come ... be inspired!
10 McKenzie Street, ALEXANDRA
Pat’s garden is a lovely focus in her life, giving much pleasure and a peaceful place to enjoy. It is six years since this garden was last open.
The garden is a shady green space filled with the colour of bulbs and annuals in spring. Iceberg roses line the driveway, pink flowering crepe myrtles give shelter to azaleas, and mature trees like conifers, a towering liquidambar, silver birch and what Pat calls a ‘Ghost Tree’ provide shelter for many plants. Containers house everything from standard lily pillies, euphorbias, orchids, ferns, begonias and much much more.
This tranquil garden invites visitors to wander into discrete corners, pause and be amazed. Foliage forms a soft background for a collection of sculptures and quirky garden ornaments resting amongst the greenery. There is so much to see in this garden.
