“Glenross” – 9 Buxton Rise, Buxton
“Glenross” was purchased by its current owners Lucas and Romayne Bogtstra in 2015. The gardens are a credit to the original owners who put in a lot of love and hard work into creating what is today a stunning garden that constantly changes colour in keeping with the changing seasons.
With the backdrop of the mountains, visitors to the property cannot get enough of the stunning views, while enjoying the sweeping lawns, beautiful ornamental pear trees, and informal beds that blend together to create a riot of colour year round. A very large gum tree dominates the middle of the lawn and provides shade during the hot weather. The property boasts Japanese maples, ornamental fruit trees, roses, specimen trees and hedges. A variety of Dogwood and Silver birch trees, together with many species of Australian natives can be found on the property. A dam at the bottom of the property attracts birdlife and the family enjoy fishing for yabbies in its murky water.
A newly extended deck at the front of the property was carefully planned to enjoy the beautiful sunsets the area boasts. The garden encompasses one and a half acres of land with a long sweeping driveway leading to the home built in the shape of a “Wave”. The home is generally referred to as “The Wavehouse” by the locals.
Welcome to “Glenross” and we hope you enjoy visiting our property.
Due to Buxton Rise being a narrow road, access to this property is unsuitable for buses.
