The Marysville Story

46 Sedgwick Street, Marysville

Lina and Neil purchased their block in Marysville 2 years after the 2009 fires. Following the design and building phase came the all important garden phase. Keeping with the aim of using local builders and suppliers, Cally Sinclair came up with the perfect garden design to compliment the building and surrounds. The front garden consists of carefully chosen grasses, surrounded by locally sourced rocks. The varied trees add colour to the landscape sloping down towards the house.

In contrast the back garden is surrounded by a border of trees, including camellias, allowing for privacy. The garden includes a variety of trees including Whitespire Birches, Arbutus and fruit trees providing a splash of colour depending on the season.

The vegetable and herb plots provide an abundance of seasonal vegetables.

The garden is evolving every year; it is still in its infancy but with care will develop into a very pleasurable space.

The owners request that visitors do not park on the gravel area of their property in Old Melbourne Road.
