Alexandra & District Open Gardens

2026 dates have been postponed to 2027

2026 Postponed until 2027

Our gardens tell stories — of resilience, seasons, and the people who nurture them. After a tough few years of frosts, heatwaves, personal challenges, and more recently, the heartbreaking Longwood fires, our committee has decided to postpone the October Open Gardens Weekend to 2027.

This extra time will help our incredible volunteer garden owners rebuild, re‑imagine, and re‑grow the spaces you love to explore.

We know many of you will be disappointed, but we promise: 2027 will be worth the wait. Thank you for standing with us and our community.

The Alexandra & District Open Gardens Weekend has been running since 1990 and these are some of the best reasons to consider coming up to Alexandra and the district this October.
